The Hugo Historical Commission On December 16, 2002, the City Council voted to establish the Hugo Historical Commission, consisting of seven regular members and two alternate members. The Commission is charged with preserving and protecting the history of Hugo. The MISSION of the Hugo Historical Commission is to connect our community to its past by: · Locating, collecting, and preserving historical facts and important information about our community · Educating the community, encouraging personal and community responsibility for preserving our past and fostering an understanding and appreciation of our history. Our SUCCESS will be measured by the preservation and sharing of our past, awareness of our present, and plans for our future. Our VISION for the future is the safekeeping of our heritage and the historical preservation of our community. Meetings Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Oneka.
