To Hugo's Good Neighbors, A MESSAGE FROM YOUR MAYOR ABOUT COVID-19: Being a good neighbor means something new to us during this difficult time. I would encourage you to think of others first and plan your activities based on how they will affect the overall community. On March 18, 2020, the Hugo City Council declared a local emergency and activated the Emergency Operations Plan and the Pandemic Response Plan. The City is continuing to provide essential public services and emergency response services. Hugo City Hall remains open to the public, but we are encouraging business be done via email or telephone rather than in person. Necessary public meetings will take place virtually and many public events have been cancelled. This virus is a real threat, take seriously the direction to stay at home and practice social distancing. The rewards of having a swift response outweigh the risk of being inconvenienced. Check on your family, friends, and neighbors by phone, text, email, and/or video chat. If you know of anyone who needs help, please do your best to be a good neighbor. Updates are posted regularly at www.ci.hugo.mn.us. SHARE WHAT YOU CAN, HELP WHEN YOU CAN, AND TOGETHER WE'LL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS CRISIS.
